Three day weekend!

Because of the Martin Luther King Day last Monday we had a three day weekend! Starting with Saturday morning, Ryan, his friend Jacob and I went to the YMCA. While they played some tennis I could practice some Muay Thai at the gym. After this we had lunch at the Buffalo Wild Wings, were I tasted a real American hamburguer. During the afternoon we went shopping and we were really tired at the end of the day.

Sunday we just had some activities at church (like the sunday school) and had lunch at Bruner's, That is a local restaurant.
On Monday, we went to an aquarium in Cincinnati and to the old Union Station that currently is a complex with lots of museums and an IMAX that is a movie theater with a giant curved screen.
We got back to Muncie by supper time, and in time to do some homework.

First Week

My first week in the Yorktown High School is over and I'm still adapting to the language, the new classmates and teachers, to this entire new routine, but it has been great, I'm learning every day and meeting lots of people.

It was a hot week for a Indiana's winter, and I'm waiting anxiously for the snow, that will probably come in the next monday.

Yes, this is a hot week in Indiana.

And this Friday, I went to the Ball State Planetarium with Marcela and her family too.

Finally, Indiana

After a long wait the 11th january came and our trip with it. With a short meeting at the Global Link with Ana Isabel, all the six Youth Ambassadors went to the International Airport Salgado Filho. At the right time we departed to Sao Paulo, and after a thirteen hours wait in Guarulhos we were finally in a flight to the United States of the America. We arrived in Atlanta, passed through the immigration and anxiously wait for our flight to Indianapolis.

After arriving Indianapolis we went to Jhani's house. She is the president of the Partners of the America IN, and it was there that we met our families. It was very exciting and I loved my family. The Seymours are great people and they are helping me with all this new stuff here, I'm really feeling at home here in Yorktown.

In my first day here we already went to a high school basketball game in Muncie, that is really close, and Ryan ( my host brother ) introduced me to some of his friends. Unfortunately the Yorktown team lost the game, but it was a good time to know better Vicki, Richard and Ryan, my family by the next two months.

Unfortunately in the second day was raining, but was a good day to rest, talk more to my family and playing Xbox with Ryan.
